Medical appointments can be intimidating for anyone. Some seniors, however, have a bit more doctor appointment anxiety than the rest of us. This makes sense. Reaction times slow a bit with age, medical centers and complexes can be difficult to navigate and a tad overwhelming, and some life-changing news can be dished out in these meetings. However, you can help reduce some anxiety for your loved ones by simply being better prepared for these appointments.
I’ve compiled a basic list of seven things your loved one should take to every medical appointment. If you’ll stick to this list with each appointment, you’ll find each appointment to be a bit more manageable, and you and your loved one will feel more in control of your situation. Simply integrating this list into your routine should make life a bit easier.
